World’s Oldest Traffic Light in Ohio still active since 1932

A small town named Ashville in (Ohio America) claiming to have the oldest traffic light still operational. The Traffic light is on a permanent display inside Ashville museum along with other marvels like such as the world’s biggest scrapbook and a buoy from the battleship Maine. The light is also one of the reason people visit the museum.

The light looks like a silver, Buck Rogers-era football, and operates like a radar screen, with green and red alternately wiping in a circle across its face. According to the staff of the museum, the light had never stopped working since 1932 but it was retired from its active duty in 1982 only because color-blind people couldn’t tell if it was green or red.

There have been various claims on worlds oldest traffic light and worlds oldest working traffic lights and we never know whether the Ashville consider this traffic light to be either the oldest one or the one with oldest in working condition.
