Remover of obstacles, Ganesha, is called 'the tusked one', 'the elephant-faced', and 'the one with a curved trunk'. Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati, and is the God whose blessings are invoked first, at any religious ceremony. His sons are called 'Shubh' or auspicious and 'Labh' or prosperity.
