Love Has Its Own Charm In Mumbai

Mumbai – Popularly referred to as the ‘California of India’ is the city of dreams for a million young hearts.
Making a life for yourself amid the hustle bustle of this tinsel town is challenging and so is finding true
love. Everyone needs a companionship. Be it casual, flirtatious or serious. A million population of this
million plus city is comprised of the young singles who either go there for studies or for work. The long
suburban distance, grueling work hours and the struggle of making a living in this city leaves you with
almost no time. It is not easy dating in Mumbai and if you already dating, It is definitely not easy all the
time to travel across to just hang out.
But ‘aamchi mumbai’ also lives with the spirit of finding you own ways. If you just happen to take a walk
at nariman point, juhu beach, bandra, shopping malls, usual coffee shops, city parks, the local trains
of the city and even the swimming pools and gyms (Am really not Kidding here!). You would see love
blooming everywhere. Nothing has actually stopped the city’s couples to date their partners. Neither
distance nor time.

Here we go on how singles got mingled in the most unusual places in Mumbai:
One will always find Nariman Point place full of couples sitting hand in hand facing the sea despite the
place not being quite and secluded. Flanked by hundreds of restaurants, this place is the most popular
hangout for youngsters. Shweta, who used to commute for work to Colaba all the way from Vashi
says, “I used to stop by Nariman Point everyday after work. It used to be a routine for me. Even in
anonymity, you gradually tart familiarizing with the place and unknown faces. I met Rahul here while he
used to come by for his assignment shots. After a week, there would be occasional greeting smiles but
we never spoke until I bumped into him in the coffee shop across the road. It all started there.”
Mumbai is flooded with gyms and fitness centers guys and girls come to flatten those abs, build up
the biceps and present a trimmer, fitter you. These gyms can be great dating grounds. Abhinav, a PR
executive who regularly works out says, “This girl and I used to work out at the same time every day and
I often caught her eye in the mirror. One day I mustered up the courage to ask her out and found we
have a lot of common interests.” The rest as they say is history!
There is no dearth of clubs in Mumbai. Rajat recalls The Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana having an event
called ‘Lets Be Friends’ where he first spotted Tanya. He says, “I can still remember the MLTR songs
playing that night when I saw Tanya standing in the middle of this group of giggling girls. My friend
happened to know a girl from her group and it was as simple as picking on the theme of the event and
asking her whether we could just be friends and get to know each other better.”
Mayank and Shruti, both working in Corporate confess, “We live far off and we really do not get time to
meet each other. So we started hanging out after work in a coffee shop near the station or waiting for
each other mid way to catch the common train to Dadar.”
So, Where there is a will there is a way!
Love finds its way even in the chaos of a city. You just need to open your eyes to it.
